Alliyah Enyo

Alliyah Enyo creates vocal-led experimental compositions, most often performed in site specific spaces which allow her to harness and respond to natural echoic phenomena. Their style drifts seamlessly between choral, ambient, medieval, folk, leftfield r&b and neo-classical music. Inspired by electronic music pioneers, Alliyah harnesses historical analogue processes, taking a particular fascination in creating tape loops through the use of reel-to-reel machines.

Her experimental, self taught approach to sound is often complimented by collaborations with classically trained musicians which take the form of interdisciplinary performances for festivals across the UK and Europe. Sites include; Norberg Festival, Mimerlaven Tower; Edinburgh Sculpture Workshops Beacon Tower; Hybrid Festival, Groningen Cathedral; Mortuary Chapel Arbroath; Dilston Gallery London, Concrete Church; Fiber Festival, Royal Concerthall Amsterdam. Alliyah’s work is predominantly created for Glasgow based label Somewhere Press her discography includes ‘Echo’s Disintegration’ 2022 and ‘Selkie Reflections’ 2024, which featured reworks by Florian T M Zeisig. She is currently working on her third solo album with the label titled, ‘When All is Dust’ which will be released 2027.
