Our bursary programme is for young people who face barriers to creative opportunities. Each year we offer two bursaries which include:

  • Financial support across nine months
  • A year membership with Music Broth including access to their instrument library
  • A year membership with Glasgow Library of Synthesized Sound (GLOSS) including a discount on open sessions, events and workshops. See here for further info
  • Equipment loans including a MacBook Pro for the duration of the programme

The bursary programme is devised in response to the interests and needs of each recipient. It also includes:

  • Monthly mentoring sessions with artists and musicians focusing on creative and professional development
  • A residency opportunity supported by the CCA’s Creative Lab programme with technical support
  • Regular catch ups with the Music Space team to help shape the programme and reflect on progress

Bursary recipients are selected via nomination. We have chosen the method of nomination in order for this opportunity to reach a wider group of young people who may not apply through more traditional open call methods.
