Bursary
Bursary programme 2022–23

Bursary recipients: Eyve and Mawaddah
Music Space launched in 2022 with a new year-long bursary programme devised for young people who face barriers to creative opportunities. There were two bursaries available and the recipients were selected via nomination.
The programme focused on developing creative and professional practice and included monthly mentoring sessions with Ju Scott, Nakul Krishnamurthy and Mele Broomes as well as a two-week residency at CCA Glasgow.
Eyve and Mawaddah both achieved huge amounts over the 12 months with support from the Music Space team. There were no expected outcomes, rather the focus was for the artists to tailor their experience to what was most inspiring, useful and beneficial at the time.
