Love is Serving the Ears Now with Riah, Listen Gallery
Join Riah from Listen Gallery in a session that centres listening and sound as an artistic practice. Riah has run Listen Gallery for four years and has built a space specifically for sound art. Through the session we will explore a Sufist approach to sound, working with a variety of instruments and recordings whilst also hearing about Riah’s approach to curating sound work and supporting a community of artists. Hosting is an important part of Riah’s work and we will be providing food as part of the session.

We can reimburse travel costs for to and from the venue on the day, please bring the receipt/ticket.
Listen Gallery is a POC artist-led non-profit organisation specialising in sound arts and listening activities, hosting a range of opportunities for people to come together, from exhibitions, workshops, performances, talks and screenings. Listen Gallery is an access point for emerging creative practitioners to develop and realise audio-centred experiences for the public within a gallery setting. A space to stimulate discussion about sound art, strengthen listening practices, connect cultures, improve collective wellbeing, rewrite histories and imagine new futures. Listen Gallery’s motto is ‘love is serving the ears now‘, focusing on listening as care for local and international communities of Scotland.
