dundee radio club + Music Space present: undercurrentscores
Explore the River Clyde through listening, meandering and collective voice. Across three workshops, we’ll gather sounds, stories and observations — transforming them into speculative listening scores, and bringing them to life through collaborative sound-making. Together, we’ll imagine the river’s hidden currents, histories and possible futures, creating a shared sonic response and ideas for a collective zine and radio broadcast.
undercurrentscores occurs as part of A Sound Map of the River Clyde, a wider project initiated by composer Annea Lockwood in collaboration with Counterflows, led by sound artist and musician Tom Fisher (Action Pyramid) alongside producer Emmie McLuskey. The project brings together recordings and community connections along the river, building an evolving sonic portrait of the Clyde.

Venue information (Offsite activity)
For the first workshop, Listen Gallery will be our starting point at Gallowgate, moving toward the the Clyde via Glasgow Green. The route will be around 0.5 miles, taking 10–20 minutes.
For the first workshop we anticipate half of the workshop to be spent outdoors, bookended by time at Listen Gallery. The second and third workshop is likely to have less time outdoors, and the routes will be planned with the participants.
There are benches throughout Glasgow Green, with backrests, but no arms. We will ensure the routes take into account dropped kerbs, step-free paths and as much even paving as possible. For any questions please get in touch via music.space.programme@gmail.com
