A Plastic Body / Workshop with Yan Jun

Coming up in March…

A Plastic Body / Workshop with Yan Jun
Wednesday 4 March, 1–3pm
Listen Gallery

This workshop explores plastic bags.

Participants are asked to bring one plastic bag. As a group, participants will discover the sound of the plastic bag, the shape, and the sculptural material as a visual object. Through this investigation participants will explore collaborations in improvisation and/or composition.

As part of the workshop Yan Jun will record sounds. Participants will be invited to take images on their phones which will be printed and displayed in the venue.

The workshop is for 16–25* year olds, there are 5–8 places. To reserve a spot please fill out the sign up form which can be found here.

The workshop will be two hours long with a break in the middle. It will take place at Listen Gallery, a fully accessible venue. There will be tea and coffee provided.

No prior knowledge required, and equipment is provided. Email us via music.space.programme@gmail.com with any questions.

We reimburse all participants travel costs, we can discuss this with you once your place is confirmed.
