Music Space creative sessions 2026

The Music Space creative sessions are back! We are excited to bring to you a series of free practice-based workshops for young people, devised to encourage experimentation with music, sound and voice in a supportive environment. We are also including sessions exploring practical advice around putting on your own shows and releasing your own music or zines, as well as fundraising for projects.
The workshops are led by a range of artists and will take place in different accessible venues across the city.
No prior knowledge required, and all equipment is provided.
Please note there is a limited capacity, and places will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Applicants should be aged 16–25 and face barriers to creative opportunities. Follow this link for more information and to sign up.
Please contact music.space.projects@gmail.com if you have any questions.
Music Space is part of The Scottish Government’s Youth Music Initiative (YMI) which is administered by Creative Scotland. The YMI creates access to high quality music making opportunities, enables young people to achieve their potential in or through music and supports the development of the sector for the benefit of young people.
